So… a few notes for the upcoming week:
I met with my tax person this afternoon to clear up the little “You owe us $12 grand in unpaid taxes and penalties” notice I got from the tax man a few weeks ago. So that makes me feel a bit better. And I’m not in any way saying it was an error on the part of said tax man. But it totally was.
I have been working on a (fanzine? rockzine?) magazine for a friend of mine. And this issue has a very lengthy interview that I’ve been trying my level best to fit into 10 pages. Which is neither here nor there, I suppose. But the important bit is that it’s an interview with Eddy Grant, talking (in part) about The Equals. A really interesting interview with an incredibly cool guy.
But in the course of doing the layout for the interview, I got “Electric Avenue” stuck in my head and now I can’t seem to get it out.
Speaking of electric things: the Electric Company is back, all new, on PBS. They’d been advertising it forever and as I was flipping channels I caught a glimpse. I don’t recall the original Electric Company kids all having super powers. But then again I don’t really remember much of the show at all. I was kinda wee.
It’s cold again. Nothing new or exciting but I thought I’d mention it all the same. I’m fighting back though. Today before one of my appointments I went to my local department store and bought a big ol’ long puffy jacket. If that thing doesn’t help keep me warm I don’t know anything that will.
Know where I didn’t buy my jacket from? I didn’t buy it from J. Crew. Ever since the inauguration and Sasha and Malia wore J. Crew the website seems to be down more than up. It’s driving me nuts. But perhaps my long-standing habit of buying stuff from there needs to be curtailed. I hate curtailing.
Anyway, that’s all I got. Tune in again next [insert timeframe here] for another exciting installment from Planet! Claire!
